Having English proficiency as a non-native speaker is undoubtedly an advantage in today’s job market. However, knowing an additional language can open even more doors, especially for those aiming to work in multinational companies.
Since high school, I’ve never regretted my decision to study languages—even though this field is less popular compared to the education system’s primary focus on science and social studies. Learning languages has led me to a career that has taken me to over thirty countries, and I’m currently living abroad as an expat.
In addition to my language work, I also do editing and proofreading for books in both Indonesian and English. When time allows, I enjoy writing about history, philosophy, and literature.
